About us
We opened on 31st August 2017 and have welcomed many new friends through our doors. In September 2019 we won the Sheffield Age Friendly Business Award 2019. In October 2020 we were shortlisted as a finalist in the Great British Care Awards Yorkshire and the Humber 2020. In November 2021 we were a finalist in the BBC Food and Farming Awards (Community Food Champion) and appeared on The One Show on 30th November 2021.
In March 2020 we had to close because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It then proved too difficult to re-open in the same premises because of having to share the building with sports teams and the need for social distancing. We moved into our new home on Main Street in November 2020.
We are a cafe serving healthy food and sweet treats in a happy atmosphere. Based on a range of fresh salads, soups and cakes we aim to feed your body and your mind.
About us
since 2017
We provide safe place where everyone can be themselves without judgement, regardless of age, gender, race, culture, background or disability.
In particular we offer an ambiance, surroundings and activities to promote memories and conversations, particularly for people living with dementia and carers within the community. We provide information about dementia and available support services for anyone who is interested or in need.
In addition we actively encourage people who live alone and are perhaps becoming isolated to visit. We're more than happy to sit and have a chat, and people often make new friends here.

Please note, staff will not offer diagnosis or opinions on diagnosis, contradict advice from other support services and professionals, or give a view on what is right or wrong for each individual.
